Week 6: Final Reflections on Course

It was a great idea to provide a science of yoga class that not only entailed the asanas, but learning about the: origins, philosophy, different facets, and mental and physical impacts of yoga.

I enjoyed the diverse presentation of the material and assignments; watching interviews and lectures, participating in discussion, taking a yoga class, little quizzes, and creating a blog, poster, GIF etc. It was a well-rounded class that kept me interested and allowed me to pursue the information at my own speed, when and to the extent that I wanted to delve into it.

It was important to understand the neurological stimulation, as well as the physical responses of the body to mediation, breathing techniques, and practice of poses.

I can take what I've learned and apply it to my continuing practice, as well as the goal oriented approach to improve my health and day-to-day living. I expect it will improve my reactions to situations and people around me as well as giving me more tools to address challenges and stress...
